Our Ministry

The Empowerment Center for Better Living is an independent New Thought Ministry founded with the purpose of teaching people how to live better lives by discovering their divine potential and living life from this sacred space of spiritual truth. This sacred space is within every individual regardless of race, creed, gender, nationality and is the God-Self of every individual that is always seeking to be expressed. We are a ministry for all people, and we embrace differences and our sameness. We believe everyone is a unique, spiritual creation, a divine original, capable of becoming a channel for God’s love to express in the world.

Our Mission

The Empowerment Center for Bettering Living is an agent for transformation by teaching people how to live better lives by renewing their minds. We are committed to serving all people in love and providing a spiritual space to express their spiritual greatness. We seek to be the spiritual light that lightens the pathway for individuals to recognize and realize their spiritual perfection and their unity with God.

Our Values

We believe in prayer. Prayer is a fundamental necessity in our daily communion with God. It is one of the ways we actively practice God’s presence in our lives. Through prayer, we speak to God and listen to God, as God speaks to us. We have the capacity for knowing God consciously and communing with God. Through prayer, we actively engage and have a personal experience with God.

We are a teaching ministry. We believe that study, as well as teaching, is fundamental in helping individuals to live better lives. We diligently teach universal spiritual principles that have been proven to work, and we believe, as scripture says – study to show yourself approved by God (2 Timothy 2:15)

We are a healing ministry. We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to restore, renew, and revive. We believe it is God’s will for every individual to live a healthy life. There is never an absence of God, so healing is always available, and we provide a space for a miracle to take place.

We are a ministry that Gives and Receives. Scripture says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”  (Luke 6:38) We teach this universal and fundamental spiritual law. We give of our time, talent, and treasure as we continue to transform lives and remain an agent of change in the world. In return, we trust God to supply the ministry with everything that it needs to be an effective channel for God to use.

We are a Ministry of Love. Love is at our core, and God is love. We respect, appreciate and value every person. We believe we were all made in the image likeness of God, so we see God in everyone, and we honor each other’s divinity. We are a ministry for all people and embrace differences as well as sameness, regardless of race, gender, age, creed, religious or sexual orientation. All are welcome who a desirous of loving and being loved.
